Black Jar Honey Contest worth $750

Folks,

my Director has asked me to contact my international people.

The Center for Honeybee Research Org. is having a Black Jar Honey Contest. There are regional prizes of $150. The Best in Regions will go to the final taste-off for a $750 dollar prize.

The international entrant should mail a quart, about 3#, in a clean, clear plastic container (tape the lid to secure no leakage) along with 2 labels. The Center will put the honey in 1# glass jars. One jar will be labeled with an entrant number for the contest; the other 2 will have the entrant's label and be sold in restaurants and stores as fund raiser. You can email CarlChesick@honeybeeresearch.org if you can't afford postage, or for more information. The entry fee is $10.00.

Please feel free to forward this email to those you feel will be interested.

Best Regards,Miguel Matos

Thank you Migual. Haven't checked recently, but I think we have entrants from nearly all the continents. I might suggest you sign up for our newsletter at www.chbr.org. It is free. The winners will be announced in the winter newsletter.

I wish to thank all those who have entered into the Center for Honeybee Research Black Jar Honey Contest. We learned mailing in the entries was a problem in some places. A little surprising in this day and age. There is still time to send your honey to the Center. Go to www.chbr.org for information and entry form. You will be required to send 3# of honey and 3 of your labels. We will put the honey in 1# jars. For those of who have entered you need to send in your honey as soon as possible.

Doing a little research I learned the honey production is down all around the world, as much as 80% in some places. In other places there was nothing at all. Honey prices are increasing because of low honey production. There is also a low production of agriculture products, especially vegetables because of the rain. Our newsletter will have more on this subject. The newsletter will be a little late this quarter. Go to www.chbr.org to sign up for the free quarterly newsletter.

Honey is based on taste alone and none of  the many, many judges know from where the honey comes. Winners will be notified. If possible I would like pictures of the winner.

Again, thank you and good luck.

I would like to participate in this contest by sending honey from from Acacia organic honey forests located in Southern western Highlands of Tanzania.

I would like to know the sample receiving address.

Thanks and regards
