Cape Verde In-depth interviews with SF and SFB - Missing data

Dear all

During the execution of the questionnaires to SF and SFB we encounter the following difficulties of obtaining data that we share and perhaps help us in how to overcome.

Area - Farmers are not aware of the size of their agricultural areasYield - The vast majority of farmers do not know and are unaware of the monthly and / or annual yield of their crops. They do not know how much they produce.Income - The vast majority of farmers do not know and are unaware of the monthly and / or annual income of their crops. They do not know how much they make.

Has this happened to you too? What has been your experience in overcoming these difficulties?

Regards

Arlindo

Hi Arlindo,

We are facing similar problems in Scotland. We either tried to get an approximation of the missing data or calculated somehow based on other parameters. Sometimes we even had to leave blank spaces in the reporting file, as it was impossible to collect all the data.

I think that many partners will express similar concerns as collection of such data is challenging in itself, and even more so when we are attempting to do so at such a large scale as SALSA.

Best,

Irianna

Dear Irianna

Thank you for your comments, let's wait for what has been your experience in overcoming these difficulties by other teams?

Arlindo
